Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Services, and at least 18 to link a bank account or use features that require identity verification.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, for all activity that occurs under your account, and for any devices on which you remain logged in. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may sign in to the mobile app with email and password, Google, or Apple. You may also enable biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) on your device.

By joining the waitlist, you authorise us to contact you at the email address you provide about Budtra, including launch announcements, onboarding instructions, and product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

When you create a Budtra account, you also agree to receive service-related communications (for example, OTP codes, security alerts, password resets, transaction notifications, and account changes). These are required to operate the Services and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

Budtra provides personal financial management tools that help you budget, track spending, set goals, view linked financial accounts, and gain insights from your data. The Services include the website, the mobile app, and any related APIs, notifications, and customer support.

Budtra is a financial technology product. It is not a bank, broker-dealer, or licensed financial advisor, and we do not hold customer funds. Banking-related actions (such as account access and transaction history) are facilitated by regulated third parties such as our aggregation partner Mono and your financial institution.

When you link a bank or financial account, you authorise Budtra and our aggregation partner (currently Mono) to access information about that account on your behalf (such as institution name, account type, masked account number, balances, and transaction history) and to keep that information up to date.

You represent that you are the rightful owner of, or authorised user of, each account you link, and that connecting it to Budtra does not violate any agreement between you and the relevant financial institution.

You can disconnect any linked account at any time from within the app. Disconnecting will stop new data from being retrieved but will not automatically delete historical data already stored — see Section 9 for how to request deletion.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Use the Services for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or any other illegal financial activity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, our APIs, or any account that is not yours.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services, including through scraping, automated requests beyond reasonable use, denial-of-service attacks, or attempting to bypass rate limits or security measures.
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.
• Use the Services to build a competing product or scrape Budtra data for commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of the content you upload, create, or share in the app (for example, your budgets, categories, notes, receipts, and profile photo).

You grant Budtra a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services, to provide the features you use, and to comply with legal obligations.

If you download the Budtra app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your use of the app is also subject to the applicable store's terms. The app stores are not responsible for the Services or any claims relating to the app.

We may release features that are labelled as "beta," "preview," "early access," or similar. These features are provided as-is, may change or be removed at any time, and may be less reliable than generally available features. We may collect feedback from your use of beta features to improve them.

You agree to keep the app reasonably up to date. We may require you to install updates needed for security, legal compliance, or compatibility.

Some features may be offered for free, while others may require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing cycle, and features for each plan will be shown to you before you subscribe.

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

If you subscribe through an app store, billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by that store and are subject to its rules.

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Budtra disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.

Budtra does not provide financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Any information shown in the Services is for general informational purposes only. You should consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

Budtra does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate, or that third-party data we display (such as balances or transactions from a linked institution) will always be current.

You can stop using the Services at any time, and you can delete your account from within the app. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted to retain it (see the Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or where necessary to protect the Services, our users, our partners, or Budtra.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Budtra regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
